Summer blooms is a pattern I created to show some of the early-season flowers I used to pick with my mom. They take on a different life in every piece and my hope is that they reflect the whimsy and joy and childhood nostalgia we could all use a little more of. Especially when missing our moms.
Each flower is painting in place, then black is carefully applied around each flower. Once the paint has set, I carve each line before carving away the background for a deeply textured piece. Each mug takes around an hour and a half to carve.
Note! All of our items are completely handmade. Each item shows off the human touches! Carved pieces are all carved, free-hand, so no two designs are ever the same. Items may have slight variances in dimensions and appearance because of this beautiful, handmade impact.
